Delete your Virka account or data
Virka is operated by Finsane Consulting EOOD, Sofia, Bulgaria.
This page explains how to delete your Virka account, or delete specific data without closing your account.
Delete your account
In the Virka app or at virka.org, go to Profile, tap Settings, then scroll to the Danger zone card and tap Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap "Permanently delete my account". This is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app, email vlad@virka.ai from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
What is deleted
Everything we hold on our servers for your account: your profile and onboarding answers, all journal entries, all chat history, all generated briefings, all biometric and measurement data, connected service access tokens, activity logs, and any shares you created. Connected sources (Apple Health, Health Connect, Oura, Google, Microsoft) stop being read immediately.
What is kept, and for how long
A permanent record that the account was deleted, holding no personal data. This exists so a deleted account cannot be silently recreated and reclaimed.
Data held on your device
Structured health records such as bloodwork are encrypted and stored only on your device. They never reach our servers, so deleting your account does not remove them. To remove them, delete the Virka app from your device. Some sign-in data may remain in your device's secure storage after the app is removed; if you want certainty that nothing remains, delete the app and then restart the device.
If you signed in with Apple
Deleting your Virka account does not revoke Apple's sign-in link. To revoke it, go to Settings, your name, Sign in with Apple, then Virka, and choose to stop using Apple ID.
Delete specific data without deleting your account
You can delete individual journal entries in the app. You can disconnect any data source at any time in Settings, which stops further reads. To request deletion of a specific category of data while keeping your account, email vlad@virka.ai and say what you want removed. We respond within 30 days as required under GDPR.
